A note from the founder

I built what I couldn’t find.

MEILAYA started while I was living in Michigan, where hard water left my hair feeling dry while buildup collected on my scalp. I tried product after product, but nothing felt simple or effective enough. As a student in a dorm—and often while traveling—I couldn’t install a shower filter or water softener. So I began creating the easy, portable pre-shampoo step I wished I had.
